The original Eden Bar building was on the corner of Hurst Street and Sherlock Street. "We’re currently working very hard to refurb the venue, giving it those familiar Eden touches, whilst focusing on the high standard of quality and safety, which you all associate with Eden." Hence, it would be very sad to see this venue go to waste, like so many other venues in Birmingham being demolished along with years of history gone forever. "Our search for a new venue has been very difficult due to all the new developments and the uncertainty of new leases in the area. We’re excited to be bringing this venue back to life, giving it some of that Eden magic. After the lease at the former White Swan pub turned Eden Bar ran out 18 months ago, they spotted a business opportunity on Queen Street in Blackpool where last autumn they founded a new 500-capacity bar and named it Sherlock's after the street outside of their former venue's front door.īecause they are still based in Birmingham, the pair were determined not to forget their roots and vowed to return once they had found a new site.
